COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Information

As of Saturday, May 29th, Massachusetts is lifting most business restrictions and mask mandates for fully vaccinated individuals. The CDC still advises that those who have not been fully vaccinated yet continue to wear masks and maintain a 6ft distance from other people whenever possible. Please continue to be safe and respectful of others around you who may not yet be fully vaccinated.

Thank you for sticking by us through this chaotic time and we look forward to enjoying the rest of the summer with you!

Please note that, until May 29th, the following restrictions are still in place:

TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS As of the start of this season, the governor of MA has issued a travel advisory for anyone coming to Massachusetts from out of state. Please visit that link for more information.

RESERVATIONS We are able to accommodate all reservations (RVs, pop-ups, tents, all cabins), however due to capacity limits on all of our facilities in accordance with state restricitions, we will not be allowing in visitors. Anyone on the property MUST be registered and paid for with your original reservation for the full length of the stay. Visitors will be turned away, and unauthorized people on the property will be immediately asked to leave, as well as the campers they are visiting.

BATHROOMS If you are camping in a self-contained RV or full cabin, PLEASE USE YOUR OWN BATHROOM. The public bathrooms should be used ONLY by those who do not have their own bathroom facilities so that those who need them can practice safe social distancing and sanitation. Using your own private bathroom is, of course, also a safer way to protect yourself from possible COVID-19 exposure. Our wastewater dumping stations are free to use for our RV campers, and we also offer pump-outs every Monday if you are staying for a long-term period. Our bathroom cleaning times will be STRICTLY ENFORCED in order to ensure we are able to stay on top of hygiene and sanitation regulations.

STORE & OFFICE The camp office and general store will be open but will be limited to six customers inside at a time and you must have a face covering at all times. Please do not come to the store for any business can be addressed over the phone or by mail or email (making reservations, paying for your site, etc). Please do not send children into the store alone, do not enter in groups, do not touch anything you do not plan on purchasing, and please minimize your browsing time.

CHECKING IN Please help us expedite the check-in process to avoid crowding in the office by using the Online Check-In link emailed to you on the morning of your arrival. Simply fill out the form with your party members' names and ages, as well as your car information before coming up to the campground.

EVENTS & ACTIVITIES The governor still has a restriction on close-contact games and activities that involve more than one campsite, so we are unable to offer most of our planned activites and events at this time. We will be trying to provide what we can for safe, social-distancing events such as outdoor movies, grab-and-go crafts, live outdoor music, etc. It appears we will be unable to return to the full scope of our activities until "Phase 4" of reopening (which is only when the pandemic has been fully contained and a vaccine is available), so this will likely be the case for the rest of the 2020 camping season.

POOL Our pool will open for the season for our campers on Memorial Day Weekend (sorry, no day passes). This is with a number of changes in place to its usual operation in order to conform to MA state regulations regarding COVID-19 safety. We understand some of these changes will be inconvenient, but the alternative is that we have to keep the pool closed, and we know no one wants that. The pool will have more limited hours than usual (10am-5pm Sunday-Thursday, and 10am-8pm on Friday and Saturday, no 'adult swim' or 'night swim'), as we will be required to staff it at all times in order to manage the occupancy due to social distancing orders. We are only permitted to open the pool at 40% capacity, and so we will have to enforce a time limit so that all of our campers have the chance to swim for a while each day. The staff at the pool will be keeping track of time and you are welcome to sign up for a specific time in the day to come swimming in advance. Otherwise, it is on a first-come basis, with priority to new bathers. The pool area will be closed briefly between bather loads to allow staff to sanitize pool lounge chairs, ladders, etc. Please, swimmers and chaperones of young children only -- there are other places you can sunbathe that don't have a maximum occupancy. And face coverings are required when not in the water.

OUTDOOR AMENITIES We are able to open many of our outdoor activities, though there are restrictions. The miniature golf, mining sluice, and laser tag will all be open at regularly scheduled times on weekends and may also be opened by request at set times during the week if you are not staying with us on the weekend. Our staff will be sanitizing equipment between users. For other outdoor amenities (such as basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, shuffleboard, and bocce) please use your own equipment as our staff is unable to sanitize equipment between every user. Please stay 6ft apart from other campers while using these amenities, do not combine multiple camping groups, and be respectful of others waiting to play. The playground will also be open, but please supervise children at all times to make sure they are following the social distancing and face covering guidelines.

INDOOR AMENITIES Unfortunately due to an inability to staff these areas and ensure face coverings and capacity limits, we are unable to open our indoor amenities at this time. This includes the rec hall and the arcade. We hope to be able to safely open these areas down the line when capacity limits are lifted, but we do not know when we will have that guidance from the state.

DINING The snack bar is open for take-out on weekends. You are welcome to take your food to the porch or pavilion or a picnic table in the field to eat, but please make sure to sit 6ft apart from other campers. You can find our snack shop menu HERE and call in your order if you'd like. Unfortunately, per state guidelines, we will not be able to offer our weekly breakfast buffet until further notice.

Campers must follow guidelines for social distancing and avoid congregating with others by following these Massachusetts state regulations:
1) There is a maximum of 10 people allowed at a time on a single site.
2) Keep at least 6 feet apart from anyone you are not camping with.
3) Do not enter a cabin, tent, vehicle, or RV that is not your own.
4) Please practice proper hand-washing / hand-sanitizing practices.
5) Face coverings must be worn at all times when off your site.**

** Exceptions to face covering regulation allowed only when eating or swimming

IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19, OR IF YOU HAVE COME INTO CLOSE CONTACT WITH SOMEONE WHO MAY HAVE COVID-19: Please, stay home to protect yourself and others. If you have a reservation you cannot keep because of this risk, we will do our best to work with you to reschedule for a later date.

As the situation evolves and government regulations and recommendations change, we may have to make additional changes as well. Our intention is to keep our campers and our staff safe and healthy while making sure we are following all of the state requirements to stay open.

As a small family-owned park, we truly appreciate your business and your understanding during this unprecedented time.

Please stay safe, stay healthy, and stay informed!

Making reservations at Prospect Mountain Campground is considered agreement to abide by all rules and regulations including our cancellation policy.
